Local Beaches
The campsite is a short walk across a couple of fields to the top of the cliffs above Hartland Quay. Access is via the road down to the Hartland Quay Hotel or the various footpaths. It is not necessary to walk along the road to reach the beach as the footpaths across the farm take you down there. The beach is a mixture of sand (at low tide) and rock pools.
There is a slipway down to the beach from the Hartland Quay Hotel car park which is just about accessible (with difficulty) by wheelchair if there are some willing helpers.
The beach and cliffs are visited every year by geology students so if you are interested in the geology of the area see Local Geology of Hartland Quay
